# Blacktop Payday

Blacktop Payday is a single-player, desktop-first browser game built as one
self-contained HTML file. It uses only Canvas 2D and browser APIs, with no
login, backend, paid API, or account requirement for the first session.

## Play

Open [Blacktop Payday](./blacktop-payday.html) in a current Chrome, Safari, or
Firefox browser and press **Enter** to start.

- **WASD / arrow keys:** move and drive
- **E / Enter:** enter, exit, or use a service
- **J / Ctrl:** fire
- **Space:** handbrake
- **Shift / K:** change weapon
- **P / Esc:** pause

The loop is deliberately short: answer a ringing payphone, complete a crime
mission, manage heat, and turn recovered vehicles into cash. The HUD exposes
cash, multiplier, health, armor, lives, ammunition, and the current mission.
The game has a win target, fail states, restart, touch-friendly action buttons,
and a local high-score record. Procedural city layout, synthesized audio, and
the mission ladder are contained in `blacktop-payday.html`.
