## Creative approach

The 2017 transformer is reimagined as an antique mechanical typesetting press: a machine that processes a sequence of individual token slugs. Its parts are removed and laid out in calm assembly order on filed patent paper, so the architecture reads as a physical teardown rather than a boxes-and-arrows diagram.

The first focal point is the oxide-red empty socket. Its mounting holes and wear remain visible while the sinusoidal position encoder rests beside it as a removable wave-pattern plate. A one-way causal mechanism lower in the teardown gives the machine an intrinsic before/after structure, making the NoPE result legible even to a viewer without machine-learning background.
